If you believe you possess these important traits, please consider a career with the Cleveland Guardians.PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide comprehensive operational and administrative support for Security Services at Progressive Field, including incident management and tracking, gameday operations, logistics support, and the facilitation of smooth and positive experiences for attendees, teammates, and guests.The expectation of this specialist role is 40 hours/week beginning in March 2026 and all home games through the end of baseball season.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:Operational & Security Services SupportProvide comprehensive support for various events hosted at Progressive Field, including assisting with event logistics, coordinating pre-event preparations, and ensuring all administrative tasks are completed efficiently. Support coordination and execution of large-scale, cross-departmental projects, ensuring timely completion and seamless collaboration between teams. Support the hiring process for Security Services teams by helping to screen candidates, schedule interviews, and assist with pre-onboarding documentation. Contribute to the creation, implementation, and assessment of training programs for all game day staff. Work alongside leadership to support the usage of incident management tools ensuring smooth adoption and efficient use of the system across teams. Assist in gathering and analyzing data related to guest entry experiences, service evaluations, and other key performance metrics to drive improvements and enhance operational efficiency. Facilitate communication by collecting and distributing information as needed to ensure all relevant teams are aligned and up to date. Maintain accurate inventory and conduct preventative maintenance inspections on all security-related equipment and supplies, to include but not limited to Metal Detectors, Communication Devices, Secondary Screening Equipment, etc. Support gameday security operation initiatives alongside the Security Manager on Duty during gamedays Respond to and assist with any security-related matters during events Ensure smooth coordination between various departments in Ballpark Services and the overall organization Assist in the coordination and execution of large-scale, cross-departmental projects, ensuring timely completion and seamless collaboration between teams. Support the implementation and assessment of a comprehensive start of season security training program for all game day staff, ensuring that team members are well-equipped to perform their roles efficiently and effectively. Provide flexible support for other tasks and projects as assigned, ensuring that departmental goals are met and operations run smoothly. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:4-year college degree is preferred or currently pursuing a degree. Prior or current experience in the sports and entertainment industry is preferred. Basic computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. JOB SKILLS:Robust interpersonal skills with a talent for building effective relationships. Proficient problem-solving abilities, excelling in fast-paced environments. Proactive self-starter with the drive to take initiative on tasks. Exceptionally organized with a proven ability to manage priorities and projects efficiently. JOB REQUIREMENTS:Capacity to gain an understanding of all department and company policies, procedures, and individual staff responsibilities within the department. Ability to utilize basic software programs such as incident management system and ABI (Advanced Business Integrators). Represents the Cleveland Guardians in a positive fashion to all business partners, teammates, and the public.
