Key Responsibilities:Underwrite small business commercial insurance efficiently without sacrificing discipline, diligence and quality serviceHigh volume productionAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with agility and decisivenessSpecialist underwriting complex and challenging risks while developing creative solutionsUnderstanding of market conditions and how to respond as they evolveBe a positive reflection on the company by demonstrating integrity and leadership in the marketplaceWork is highly independentQualifications, Skills and ExperienceCandidate typically has minimum of 5 years of experienceSpecific knowledge for contractors and hospitalityStrong technical skills in financial analysisStrong communication and negotiation skillsBA/BS degree or equivalent experienceUnderstanding of policy forms and coveragePhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Work is performed in an office or home environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment. Must have the ability to walk short distances, and/or drive a vehicle.Must have the ability to carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
