What Does a Parts Delivery Driver Do? This entry-level position is crucial in delivering automotive parts to our valued commercial customers. As a Parts Delivery Driver, you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while also supporting inventory tasks within our store. This role can be tailored to fit either part-time or full-time schedules, and candidates must be fleet safety certified. Your Responsibilities Include: Safely delivering parts to customers. Picking and staging parts for customer orders. Collecting returns and cores. Dropping off sales flyers regularly. Managing daily credit account collections. Additional Tasks: Maintaining store cleanliness, including floors and restrooms. Assisting with general stocking duties, including truck and back stock. Key Attributes for Success: Strong driving and navigation skills. Ability to use delivery tracking systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in locating and stocking parts. Knowledge of safe driving practices. Experience with inventory systems and store equipment. Essential Skills: Effective communication and relationship-building skills. Competence in reading safety guidelines, operating instructions, and parts catalogs. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings. Preferred Experience: Previous experience with automotive parts is a plus. Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license. Fleet safety certification is required. Physical Demands: This position requires physical stamina, as you will spend the majority of your time walking or standing. Other physical demands include: Ability to talk, hear, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms. Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision capabilities, including close and distance vision, color perception, and adjusting focus. Work Environment: While primarily an indoor role, you will occasionally work outdoors and may be exposed to various weather conditions.
