What is the same, is that each day will bring new experiences and opportunities for growth.You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including: Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems. Removal and installation of panels and components, Troubleshooting and problem solving aircraft system/component issues De-fueling aircraft, Engine removal/installations, Operating ground support equipment, Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/ taxiing Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling Immediately notify the Lead Mechanic of any problem areas such as parts, materials, workmanship, or airworthiness issues. Provides the Lead Mechanic with a detailed report of work progression and open items to be included in the shift turnover log Proper tagging of Aircraft components, parts, and panels appropriately stored including racks by aircraft. Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases Willing and able to work rotating shifts including, nights, holidays, weekends and days off. Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management. What you'll need to bring with you:Your Experience:AMT I: Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred. 0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar. These technicians have limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance aspects Technicians require close supervision of general maintenance tasks AMT II: Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred. 2-4 years of experience working in aviation maintenance Experience working on corporate aircraft is preferred but not essential. These technicians have considerable knowledge of the job and general maintenance aspects. Technicians require general supervision on routine maintenance and more detailed instruction for new or special assignments. AMT III: Airframe license is required; in addition, Powerplant license is highly preferred 4-6+ years' experience in aviation maintenance Experience working on corporate aircraft is highly preferred but not essential. These technicians have full knowledge of general, detailed, and special assignments in aircraft maintenance AMT IV (Master) Airframe and Powerplant license is required. 6+ years' experience in aviation maintenance Must have extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms Subject matter expert in all areas of the job Your Education:A High school diploma or equivalent.A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is idealYour Initiative:We're looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.Your Sense of Responsibility:Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.Maintain customer oriented work habits.Other particulars:Physical RequirementsLifts 70 lbs.Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.Work on elevated platforms (up to 40 ft. in the air) using fall protection safety gearWork in small restricted areasStanding for long periods of time.Mental RequirementsUnderstanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.Troubleshoot or evaluate system operation.Work with others in a professional manner.SupervisionWork under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance.May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.Working ConditionsWork is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations from very cold to very hot.Work outside during aircraft runs will occur.Varied positions in and around the aircraft.Equipment UsedPersonal hand tools supplied by the mechanic.Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment.Jacks, stands, lifts and other support devices.Tugs, power carts and other engine powered equipment.Lists above includes the main items for this job position to be successful, but not limited to other things that might come about in time.
