At UF Health, we're not just treating patients — we're transforming lives.Position Overview:We are currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Technologist (MT), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our dynamic Laboratory team. We offer a supportive work environment, access to cutting-edge diagnostic tools, and opportunities for professional growth within the University of Florida health system.*The Villages Charter School eligible position*Responsibilities:Perform a broad range of clinical laboratory tests and analyses in areas such as hematology, chemistry, immunology, and microbiology.Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments with precision and care.Ensure accuracy of results by adhering to quality control, safety protocols, and all regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA, etc.).Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and patient test data.Communicate critical findings promptly to physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams.Support continuous lab operations with a focus on organization, cleanliness, and efficiency.Required Qualifications:Associate's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related scientific field.Current Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (required for MLS or MLT roles).Preferred Qualifications:Certification through ASCP or equivalent is strongly preferred.Prior experience in a hospital or clinical lab setting is a plus.
