Mechanical Designer/drafter

DescriptionCreate shop drawings for custom commercial kitchen equipment, including floor plans, elevations and any other specifications provided.Solid modeling is required and a background in sheet metal is a plus.Design custom stainless steel equipment meeting specific customer and industry requirementsManage large assemblies consisting of sheet metal, parts, sub-assemblies, hardware, and imported files.Help to establish better modeling skills, software training, and ways of improvement for other Design Engineers.Create shop drawings for custom equipment, including floor plans, elevations and any other specifications provided.Designing, drafting complex parts and assemblies with mechanical design/integration skillsManaging large CAD assemblies and associated drawingsFamiliar with a PDM Product Management DatabaseAble to read and interpret blueprints and schematics per product per projectSolid 3D-modeling using Siemens SolidEdge for sheet metalDesigned CAD models per customer specifications and order sheetWorked with Project managers to deliver requested drafts for customer reviewSimultaneously worked on multiple projects and project managers, prioritizing deadlinesProduct procurement, DXF drawings for a laser cutter and bends, and drafted electrical drawingsTroubleshoot and adapt model files from CAD library to meet customer specificationsKnowledge of GD&T for manufacturing sheet metalSkillsSheetmetal, Engineer, Design Engineer, Solidedge, read drawings, Solidworks, Design, Sheet metalTop Skills DetailsSheetmetal, Engineer, Design Engineer, Solidedge, read drawingsAdditional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of experience Food Service Experience would be preferable Sheetmetal Experience Interpreting Drawings Working to manipulate existing drawings Read specs Design custom stainless steel equipment meeting specific customerJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oviedo, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
