W.W. Rowland Trucking Company, LLC has an immediate opening for an Intermodal Customer Service Representative to join our team in our Dallas, Texas location - open to consider candidates in the Houston metroplex. The position communicates with customers on service capabilities, work order input, coordination with dispatch, and provides information on shipment status for the terminal operation.Job Responsibilities and Duties:Provides information to customers on service capabilities and capacity availabilityEnters order information directly into the computer system (Intermodal) accurately and on a timely basis (immediate as received)Resolve service issuesSchedule appointment times as required, meeting designated delivery windows set by the customerCommunicates with customers (shippers, consignees, and third parties as required) to provide information on shipment status to communicate anticipated service issues, new pick-up and delivery times, and alternative solutions where possibleMust be available one (1) Saturday per month to provide service support as part of the weekend team (will receive alternative weekday off during that week)Perform other duties as requestedAbilities and Skills:Excellent organizational, interpersonal communication, and computer skillsDetail-oriented and works effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlinesMust be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervisionRecognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problemsAbility to establish and maintain a professional atmosphere for co-workers and customersQualifications:Two (2) years of intermodal customer service preferredStrong attention to detail and excellent local geographical knowledgeBring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to the jobExcellent verbal/written communication skillsComputer Literate - (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook) requiredBilingual is a plusW.W.
