Pay Rate: $20.00 an hour Join Our Team We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Lifeguard Supervisor to lead our lifeguard team and ensure the safety and enjoyment of all patrons in our waterpark. If you have a passion for aquatic safety and team leadership, we want to hear from you ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee daily operations and inspect work performed by the lifeguard team to maintain high safety standards. Create a welcoming and secure atmosphere for all guests. Perform all essential lifeguard duties as required. Conduct monthly training sessions to enhance team skills and preparedness. Perform regular inspections of waterpark areas and promptly report any concerns to management. Engage with guests and lead promotional talks about the waterpark's features. Collaborate with management to develop innovative programs that attract more visitors. Assist with merchandise sales and pool admissions while adhering to cash handling protocols. Provide break coverage for pool attendants as needed. KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Required Knowledge and Certification: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 years of lifeguarding experience or related coaching/instruction experience. Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. First Aid and CPR certification; AED certification preferred. Preferred Knowledge and Certification: 2 years of supervisory experience. 2 years of experience in cash handling. Lifeguarding Instructor Course Certification. Required Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Highly organized and adaptable to changing priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. Required Abilities: The ability to work efficiently under pressure. Commitment to a professional appearance and personal hygiene standards. Able to interact politely and professionally with guests, peers, and management. Enthusiastically promote the waterpark's offerings. Clear, confident communication skills, capable of projecting voice over distances. Able to recognize sounds and distress signals effectively. Strong observational skills across all areas of the pool. Ability to maintain focus and attentiveness in a warm environment. Effectively explain and enforce waterpark safety standards to team members and guests. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be capable of walking, standing, and moving quickly throughout shifts. Good balance, with the ability to bend, kneel, and stoop. Regularly reach, twist, push, pull, and grasp objects. Manual dexterity to operate waterpark features, safety equipment, POS system, and administer First Aid. Repetitive hand and wrist motions required. Ability to navigate stairs and work at elevated surfaces. Good hand-eye coordination is essential. Ability to perform strenuous tasks required for rescues, like quick swimming and supporting adult body weight. WORKING ENVIRONMENT Work is primarily conducted in a waterpark setting, subject to flashing lights, loud noises, water, humidity, and pool chemicals. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Occasional interaction with upset or challenging individuals. Engagement in high-volume public contact.
