BCBA Licensed (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) credentials are preferred and will consider non-BCBA credentialed if enrolled in a BCBA program. Master's required. Experience with conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and development of Behavior Intervention Plans. Work an 11-month, 220 contract JOB DESCRIPTION: The BCBA will provide highly advanced behavior analysis services in a PK - 12 environment for students with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities and students identified with Autism, and those with challenging behaviors. The BCBA will provide consultation to teachers regarding behavior analysis for students in a PK - 12 environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform observations and assessments relevant to the design of positive interventions and supports for children. Define interventions designed for students so that the changes to be achieved are measurable. Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments, develop written reports of the results of such assessments, and develop or assist in the behavior intervention plans for students. Systematically evaluate the consistent implementation of student behavior intervention plans through personal observation, staff consultation, and review of progress monitoring. Provide professional learning opportunities in a variety of areas related to positive behavior supports, behavior management, positive and effective approaches to preventing and addressing. Provide parent training on behavior specific interventions. Conduct verbal behavior/language assessments (VB-MAPP/ABLLS-R) Develop individualized treatment plans (e.g., goals, objectives, and interventions). Develop individualized data collection programs to monitor student progress toward goals. Develop programs for students to assist in teaching skill deficits, maintaining acquired skills, teaching self-help skills, and developing appropriate social skills. Provide parent, teacher, and staff training on the principles of ABA and behavior modification. Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local level. Train school personnel on positive behavior support, conflict prevention, de-escalation, and crisis response as well as on the regulations, policies, and procedures governing the use of seclusion and restraint.
