Reliable and dependable. Accountable for team performance. Key Responsibilities and Outcomes: Lead formal and informal meetings with kitchen team members to foster communication. Instill a sense of urgency to achieve exceptional speed of service. Maintain a work environment that ensures food safety and cleanliness. Oversee the organization and presentation of the kitchen. Conduct interviews for potential kitchen staff. Monitor and track speed of service metrics. Create and manage daytime and nighttime checklists. Provide orientation and training for new kitchen employees. Coach, evaluate, and hold team members accountable for their performance. Optimize labor cost efficiency, ensuring team members clock out as scheduled. Dedicate a minimum of two hours per week to planning and strategizing. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned according to the daily, weekly, and monthly schedules. Maintain a positional chart for delegation and training. Track and minimize waste effectively. Recognize and celebrate team members who excel in serving guests and supporting each other. Provide vision and ensure adherence to operational excellence among kitchen staff. Oversee proper opening and closing of the kitchen. Ensure compliance with holding times and timers for all food items. Manage the ordering of produce and oversee the process with the help of a delegator or trainer. Coordinate truck orders, update paths, and create new labels. Oversee equipment repair and maintenance schedules on a set timeline. Maintain accurate transfer logs for inventory. Implement and track operational excellence parameters within the kitchen. Create a culture of continuous improvement with no shortcuts. Ensure a smooth transition from breakfast to lunch services. Manage kitchen staff efficiency to complete tasks on time. Requirements: Mission of the Culinary Operations Director - Responsible for directing daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with company standards across all operational aspects, including production, preparation, customer relations, restaurant maintenance, inventory management, and financial accountability. The role requires collaborating with marketing and front-counter leadership. Previous experience in managerial roles such as supervisor, crew lead, or kitchen manager is highly beneficial for success in this position.
