We are looking for a proactive and motivated Assistant Store Manager to ensure exceptional customer service and support the Store Manager in overall store operations. Key Responsibilities: Assist in hiring, training, and developing store team members as directed by the Store Manager. Support daily store functions and activities, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Perform opening and closing procedures when the Store Manager is unavailable. Help safeguard company assets, including managing store cash securely. Adhere to all policies and procedures, with a strong focus on safety guidelines. Foster a positive and professional environment for customers and team members. Maintain all store areas, including the stockroom and sales floor, to meet company standards. Provide direction and supervision for hourly team members in the absence of the Store Manager. Implement and process all SSC Corporate directives effectively. Assist in receiving and returning DSD merchandise as needed. Support the management of freight flow and stock organization. Work towards consistently meeting or exceeding productivity standards. Assist the Store Manager in managing inventory, including ordering and stocking merchandise. Ensure that the sales floor is set up for success on a daily basis. Help execute all directives outlined in the Store Operations Weekly Bulletin. Qualifications: Previous retail and management experience is preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills. Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50lbs, with physical demands such as frequent walking, standing, and repetitive lifting. Capable of thriving in a high-energy, team-oriented environment. Flexible availability for full-time or part-time schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
