Job Summary: Individuals will report directly to the Fitness and Aquatic Director.Duties: Instructing youth and/or adults about water safety. Creating daily and/or weekly lesson plans. Attending staff meetings and trainings. Keeping all certification current. Addressing parent and/or guardian's concerns, issues and other feedback in a positive, friendly manner. Notify Fitness and Aquatic Director of any concerns, complaints, issues and/or feedback. Issue participant surveys when received from the Fitness and Aquatic Director. Providing leadership and direction to Water Safety Assistants. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds or more. Other duties as deemed necessary by the Fitness and Aquatic Director. Compensation:Hourly rate of pay dependent on certifications and experience. Increases in rate of pay based on an employee evaluation conducted by the Fitness and Aquatic Director.Qualifications: Applicants must hold current certification with the American Red Cross as a Water Safety Instructor. Lifeguard Training and CPR preferred.Work schedule Day shift Night shift Weekend availability Benefits Flexible schedule Other
