StructSure Projects is currently seeking a qualified Site Safety Health Officer for our project at Bremerton, WA; the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working with the Corp of Engineers and must have EM385, First Aid / CPR / OSHA 30 certifications current. The ideal candidate will need to be able to access a secure facility and pass background checks as required by the facility and the employer. This job will mobilize around April 1, 2026 and will be running two shifts.StructSure Projects has been executing successful healthcare design/build projects since 1994. The measured steps in our growth have presented many new exciting opportunities as our clients engage us on larger, more constrained healthcare projects.SUMMARY & PURPOSE OF POSITION:This position is directly responsible and has the direct oversight for the Company's safety program, including onsite safety. This person ensures all personnel working on the project, including vendors, are following safety standards and protocols according to OSHA, the company's and the client's standards.RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:Responsible for ensuring compliance with the safety program, both the EM 385 & Company Safety Program. This includes all personnel working on the projects under our contract, including subcontractorsAdhere to all Federal and State safety requirements, problem solves any issuesAddress and eliminate any safety hazardsPrepare and implement an effective safety & health programOversee and Enforce Infection Control & Risk Assessment plans and mediationComplete all documents, reports and other administrative assignments as it relates to safetyAssist the Quality Control Manager and Superintendent as necessaryAttend meetings and act as the main liaison with the client for all safety mattersHandle any on the job accidents and follow the legal & proper reporting proceduresSKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED & PREFERRED:Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related degree or 7 years minimum of construction safety experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Engineer for a General ContractorMedical project experience required as a Safety Engineer, medical government experience preferred Effectively manage safety on job sites with few minor violationsDemonstrates knowledge of basic quality control practices and is efficient in assisting the Quality Control Manager as necessaryCorrectly utilizes IDBO software and RMS systems according to the company proceduresAccurately records all incidents and follows safety and workers compensation protocol; maintains proper organization of all safety concerns and incidentsMeets the clients standards with safety with few complaints from the ownerMust be thoroughly familiar with EM 385 Manual & Infection Control RequirementsDemonstrates a thorough understanding of Federal and State safety requirementsOSHA 30 and EM 385 training completedQuality Control & RMS experience strongly preferredMay be asked to travel approximately 25% of jobASHE Infection control training or ability to obtain training; demonstrates strong knowledge of infection control and the project abides by these proceduresCPR and First Aid CertifiedPHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to navigate through a construction site for extended periodsAbility to work on a computer and perform administrative tasksAbility to perform moderate physical work such as climbing, lifting, stooping, using construction tools, moving boxes, and lifting up to 40 pounds.Ability to communicate in person, phone and electronically by hearing and talkingSubject to loud noises and vibrations.Depending on project location, employee is subject to infectious diseases from patients in hospitalsSubject to close quarters, small enclosed rooms and narrow passageways Must be able to stoop, grasp objects, walk for long periods of time, stand for long periods of time, and climb ladders, balance, push, pull and lift.
