Summary:Our award-winning client is seeking an HSE Specialist to join their team. In this critical role, you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our employees and the environment at our Chicago Heights and Alsip locations.Responsibilities: Implement and oversee company HSE programs, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and training effectiveness. Provide expert guidance to site management on all HSE matters. Analyze data to identify and address HSE risks, developing mitigation strategies. Manage audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to regulations and company standards. Create, review, and update HSE procedures (permits, hazard communication, PPE, etc.). Manage the HSE training program, including development, delivery, and recordkeeping. Lead incident investigations using industry best practices (RCA, 5-Whys). Drive implementation of sustainability initiatives to achieve company goals. Contribute to annual HSE budgets and monitor performance against targets. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred). 3+ years of experience in manufacturing HSE compliance. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proven track record of success in HSE program development and implementation.
