This position is the community's first impression.Responsibilities:• Supports the organization's mission, core values, and goals, upholding and promoting company culture and vision.• Completes all hours of state-mandated continuing education each year.• Promotes and displays a spirit of teamwork in performing daily duties through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.• Supports a positive and professional image through actions and dress.• Promotes the property positively and effectively communicates the organization's values to residents, visitors, co-workers, and the community.• Greet visitors seeking information about the property.• Be responsive to the needs of people who inquire about the property and/or are in the building for meetings with administrative personnel.• Direct visitors to the appropriate office or resident apartment.• Responsible for assisting residents, family members, and guests with general requests. Responsible for arranging property tours for individuals making spontaneous visits or those who have made an appointment.• Answers telephones, records, and channel information.• Displays knowledge of the services and programs and other pertinent information regarding the property.• Responsible for the mail meter, stamps, making copies, and other tasks related to office operations.• Administers required medical screening.• Processing incoming mail. Sort property mail and distribute mail to mailboxes.• Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly fashion. Ensure that the reception desk and lobby have current property literature on display.• Ensure that the lobby is free of excessive or outdated literature. Ensure that coffee and/or refreshments are fresh and readily available.• Performs clerical duties for property staff as directed by supervisor.• Provides support to the Community's marketing efforts through positive/friendly interaction during property tours and telephone contact with the public, as directed by a supervisor. Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.• Maintains a safe work environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards. Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.• Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.• Able to read, write, and understand the English language and be able to follow written or oral instructions.• Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and remain calm during emergencies.• Able to deal professionally with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.• Knowledge of administrative practices, processes, and guidelines.• Experience using computer software (Microsoft).• Have patience, professionalism, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and be willing to handle residents, staff, and visitors based on whatever maturity level atwhich they are currently functioning.
