Our greatest project successes are measured by reducing crashes, preventing fatal crashes, and improving efficiency for everyone who travels through our communities.We are looking for a Traffic Engineer who is ready to grow into the next phase of their career: Project Management. In this role, you will be working with the Assistant Director to manage a variety of transportation safety and transportation planning projects.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Knowledge of the Access Management Manual, MUTCD, and the Highway Safety Manual, and the Trip Generation ManualGood, working knowledge of ExcelPrefer software experience with MicroStation, ArcGIS, Synchro, and/or VISTRO Possess written and oral communication skills with English proficiencyValid Driver's License Preference is given to candidates who have passed their Professional Engineer (P.E.) Exam Traffic Engineering and Planning at SainOur Traffic Engineering and Planning team is made up of fifteen skilled professionals dedicated to transportation safety. Recent projects include the Mobile Bay Bridge ITS Project, Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) initiatives across Alabama, numerous Road Safety Audits in Tennessee, and the Tennessee Strategic Highway Safety Plan.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
