In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for delivering top-notch service. Diesel Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, to keep diesel vehicles in optimal condition. Diagnostic Expertise: Utilize diagnostic equipment and your technical knowledge to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in diesel vehicles. Repairs: Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other components, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Parts Replacement: Replace faulty or worn-out parts and components, such as filters, belts, hoses, and fuel systems, to ensure reliable vehicle performance. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all services, repairs, and parts used. Prepare and submit detailed repair reports. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on diesel vehicles, promoting a safe and secure working environment. Place a strong emphasis on workplace safety. Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure repairs meet high-quality standards. Customer Communication: Interact professionally with customers, explaining repair issues and providing recommendations. Address customer inquiries and concerns. Efficiency: Work efficiently to complete tasks within established timeframes and maintain a high level of productivity. Tool Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment clean and in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly. Updating Job Knowledge: Stay current with industry advancements by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, and seeking continuous improvement in diesel mechanic skills. Communication: Maintain regular communication with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to provide updates on vehicle repair progress. Perform Vehicle Repair: Execute vehicle repair and maintenance work as outlined on the repair order efficiently and accurately, adhering to dealership and factory standards. Safety Measures and Equipment:A Diesel Mechanic at Bomnin Automotive may be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions daily, including flammable materials, hot surfaces, live electrical wiring, and noxious fumes. To ensure safety, Bomnin Automotive provides various types of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Diesel Mechanics are required to use PPE as needed to maintain a safe work environment.Position RequirementsRequirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic Diesel Mechanic certification or relevant technical training is a plus. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and parts. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and parts. Extended periods of standing, bending, and kneeling. Manual dexterity for operating tools and equipment. Work Environment: The Diesel Mechanic primarily works in the service department of Bomnin Automotive, which may include exposure to various weather conditions when working on vehicles.
