If so, we want you to join our team and help seniors Age Magnificently Our Cook/Chef becomes family and impacts the lives of our residents who live in a Lifespark Senior Living Community.In this position, you will be responsible for preparing food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. Duties include:Prepare (primarily scratch cooking) and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures. Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils. Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy. Ensure proper storage for food and supplies. Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures. Qualifications: 1+ year of high-volume cooking experience is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass the Minnesota Dept. of Health background check. Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees. Able to read and understand recipes that are written in English. Strong match skills for adjusting recipe amounts as needed. Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
