A Brief Overview As an Auto Glass Technician Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training to become a skilled auto glass technician. Upon completing our program, you will earn the Safelite SafeTech certification, equipping you with essential skills for conducting glass repair, replacement, and recalibrations independently. What You Will Do Enjoy paid training as you learn the Safelite way through hands-on and classroom experiences. Observe and assist in the installation and repair of auto glass. Recalibrate automotive safety systems while troubleshooting and performing diagnostic testing. Provide additional products and services when necessary. Study and pass assessments to become a Safelite-certified Technician, demonstrating proficiency in installations and a positive attitude. Safely operate company and customer vehicles and properly handle company-issued tools and chemicals. Complete other assigned duties as needed. Adhere to all company policies and standards. What You'll Get: Competitive weekly pay starting at $20.25/hour, increasing to $24/hour after training and certification. Earn additional income ($5/set of wiper blades) for enhancing customer safety. Education Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent is preferred. Valid state-issued driver's license is required, along with any other licenses as mandated by federal, state, and local laws for operating a company vehicle. Experience Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Skills and Abilities: Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in tight spaces, with the ability to bend and twist. Proficient in using various hand and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to operate a motor vehicle per all applicable laws, with a commitment to being monitored for safety. Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and exceeding client expectations. Able to work safely outdoors in diverse weather conditions. Capacity to handle chemicals, including flammable substances, as per company standards. Flexibility with scheduled hours to meet customer needs. Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrating and troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills, able to address issues independently and collaboratively. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally. Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the company dress code and PPE policies. Capable of maintaining stable performance under pressure, including time constraints.
