We promote a strong safety culture, where employees take responsibility for their own safety.This is a skilled position involving making repairs to and maintaining construction equipment and mechanical equipment such as paving equipment, plant machines, aggregate equipment, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and other equipment by performing the following duties:• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on Medium and Heavy-duty trucks and any other piece of equipment requiring repairs.• Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.• Examines components and systems for loose ,broken or bad parts.• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.• Repair and maintenance, including brakes, suspension, steering components, electrical, some hydraulics, and some specialty systems like cameras and proximity sensors or replaces defective parts.• Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.• Lubricates and cleans parts.• Starts and/or devices to test their performance.• Welds broken parts and structural members.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
