With a focus on transparency, excellence, and community, we're proud to help shape the future of cannabis in Minnesota.Job Summary:The QA Specialist is responsible for final verification and release of all packaged products prior to distribution. Working under the Inventory Manager and Operations Manager, this role conducts and signs off on final case counts, inspects packaged product condition, and ensures inventory accuracy and compliance with internal SOPs and regulatory requirements. This is a high-accountability, detail-driven role requiring strong judgment, reliability, and consistent adherence to process.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all completed packaged products to ensure condition, labeling, and packaging meet quality and compliance standards.Perform systematic inspections of packaged goods for damage, defects, or nonconformance.Conduct accurate product counts at end-of-line checkpoints.Work closely with Inventory, Production, and Leadership as needed to ensure smooth, compliant product flow.Serve as a trusted point of contact for final QA questions and handoff readiness.Monitor compliance throughout packaging stages; coach teams on correct procedures when gaps are observed.Collect and import data into seed-to-shelf (METRC) tracking softwareAssist Manufacturing associate's in production when needed Stay up to date on cannabis regulatory requirements The responsibilities listed above represent a general overview of the position and may not reflect all tasks that may be required. North Star Canna reserves the right to assign or modify duties as needed, with or without advance notice, to meet operational demands.Required Qualifications:Highschool Diploma or equivalent 3+ years' experience in inventory, QC/QA, packaging, receiving, warehouse, or other compliance-driven production work.2+ years working in the professional cannabis industry3+ years working in a team environment. Experience performing accurate case/physical counts and reconciling variances.Must have reliable means of transportation to and from the worksite.Ability to follow and reinforce SOPs in a regulated/high-compliance environment.Comfortable with inventory software and/or spreadsheets; strong documentation habits.Detail-oriented, reliable, flexible, self-motivated, coachable, and effective with teams.Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with METRC, Distru, and other seed-to-shelf tracking technologyPhysical Demands: Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 30 lbsWorking in a cultivation environment, which can include no natural light and varying temperaturesManual dexterity to operate small hand tools, apply stickers, and handle delicate products for an extended period of timeRequired to wear PPEReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions in compliance with the Minnesota Human Rights Act and ADA.The Prairie Island Indian Community Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance applies to this and all employment opportunities for the Community.North Star Canna is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.Ability to pass a criminal background check per MN Office of Cannabis Management and Tribal regulations
