This role is ideal for an early-career to mid-level paralegal who enjoys meaningful client interaction, detailed legal work, and supporting attorneys in a hands-on, collaborative environment.Role Overview:The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys to support estate planning and probate administration from start to finish. In a small-firm setting, this role offers broad exposure to matters and the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day case support while working directly with clients and counsel.Key Responsibilities:Assist with drafting and preparing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related materialsSupport probate and estate administration, including filings, notices, inventories, and correspondenceCoordinate with clients, courts, financial institutions, and third partiesManage case files, deadlines, and document organizationPrepare and file probate documents with courts in Washington, DC, Maryland, and VirginiaMaintain calendars and assist with scheduling and case trackingProvide general administrative and legal support to attorneys as neededQualifications:Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred1–5 years of paralegal experience; trusts & estates or probate experience strongly preferredFamiliarity with Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC probate procedures is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProfessional, client-focused communication styleComfortable working in a small-firm environment where flexibility and initiative are valued
