We are seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist for a 90-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Wisconsin, starting Mar 19, 2026. This position offers a day shift schedule, 8am-5pm, with flexibility for week on/week off coverage and a mix of clinic and procedure days.Job DetailsLocation: WisconsinStart Date: Mar 19, 2026LOA: 90 daysProvider Type Needed: GastroenterologistSchedule: 8am-5pm day shift; open to week on/week off; preferred 1 clinic day and 4 procedure days (flexible)Responsibilities and DutiesPerform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varicesConduct PEG placement, esophageal dilatation, manometry, and interpretationPerform small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopyComplete colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polypsConduct liver biopsy and insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tubeParticipate in clinic visits and scheduled procedures only (no ERCP or EUS required)Manage an average inpatient census of 28-30 MSP and 3-4 ICU/IMCU patientsUtilize three new endoscopy suites with skilled endo teamsWork with anesthesia support for conscious sedation on certain daysComplete Day 1 orientation with EPIC supportAdditional InformationMust hold a valid Wisconsin medical licenseBoard certification in Gastroenterology requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications requiredExperience with inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology procedures strongly preferredSix ICU beds and eight IMCU beds available at the facilityBenefitsStrong compensationTravel-related expenses coveredA-rated medical malpractice insurance providedDedicated recruiter for future travel opportunitiesWhat are Locum Tenens Jobs?Locum tenens jobs, sometimes referred to as travel assignments, are contract positions that help meet patient care needs at various healthcare facilities and hospitals for a defined period.
