Assist in Accident investigation and follow-up. Oversee the safety committees. PPE program Safety reporting - comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as internal requirements. Responsible for weekly safety huddle. Assist in tracking, reporting and submission of safety & environmental related items as required by local, state, and federal regulations as well as internally. Assist with the maintenance of all necessary Material Safety Data sheets. Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Publishers Ability to multi-task, plan, organize and review information proficiently. A thorough knowledge of standard office procedures, practices, and equipment Excellent presentation skills, communications, both written and verbal Ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of employees as well as outside contacts. Educational RequirementsHigh school diplomaContinuing education as needed regarding new OSHA regulations & Worker's CompensationPhysical Qualifications:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time in an office environment. Must be able to repeat same movements. Standing, moving, and/or walking frequently. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
