We believe that identifying, attracting, developing, and retaining talent are significant actions because our people are so important.Inspector III performs advanced inspection work in petroleum and petrochemical terminals and refineries; also performs inspection work on board barges and ships following industry standards and the procedures published by API and Saybolt.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform visual cleanliness inspections of tanks including entering confined spacesVerify the accuracy of measurement equipmentWork safely in the presence of hazardous materials as defined in the appropriate Material Safety Data SheetsTake product measurements and samples; accurately and promptly perform related calculations; complete required reports and forms clearly and promptly; perform inventories; do non-petroleum or chemical inspection assignmentsPerform other inspection department duties assigned by the Manager or SchedulerExercise procedural, safety and quality requirements specified in Saybolt procedures manuals, the Global Safety Manual, and Core Laboratories/Saybolt company policesAttend training and pass appropriate examinations in petroleum, chemical and gas inspection procedures, including Right-to-Know training, hazardous materials transportation, and other safety training required by applicable regulationsGain knowledge of basic and advanced laboratory procedures through cross training in laboratory QUALIFICATIONSA high school diploma or equivalent (general education degree).5 years as an Inspector or related experience.IFIA Certification required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTESExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Exhibit professional appearance and customer service orientationAbility to communicate and work productively with multiple stakeholdersAbility to work independently OTHER INFORMATION (US ONLY) PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
