Job DescriptionADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a travel job in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Mammography TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: ASAPDuration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelOpportunity:/nMammo Tech - Mammo Tech/n/nJob Details:/n• Work Monday through Friday shifts (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM depending on location)/n• No call requirements/n• Required to wear black scrubs/n• ARRT Board registration in Radiology Technologist and Mammography Technologist required/n• Experience with 3D Tomosynthesis training required/n• Preferred experience with Hologic Mammography equipment and Epic system/n• Perform correlative breast examinations and document scars, moles and pertinent findings/n• Provide individualized breast self-examination instruction and patient education/n• Identify patients properly using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol/n• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying departmental protocols/n• Document patient history in electronic record as required/n• Demonstrate strong skills with radioactive material safety/n• Perform mammography procedures with proper breast compression, positioning and special views/n• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure physical safety and comfort/n• Communicate instructions clearly and explain procedures to alleviate patient fears/n• Perform equipment quality control procedures using radioactive sources/n• Evaluate results to ensure equipment performance meets acceptable standards/n• Parking available at both locations/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare organization operates multiple outpatient imaging centers specializing in women's health services and diagnostic mammography.
