Overnight Laundry Attendant

Position Purpose and Summary The Overnight Laundry Attendant ("OLA") plays a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences for our guests. This position involves assisting guests through various needs during the night, including check-ins and check-outs, while adhering to company procedures. The OLA will manage all laundry tasks, answer phones, and uphold safety and security protocols as per company standards. Major / Key Job Duties Ensures a 100% commitment to guest satisfaction and associate experience. Assists guests with check-ins and check-outs, while collecting payments according to company policies. Handles all laundry tasks with precision, including stain treatment, washing, drying, and folding linens, towels, blankets, and more. Processes dishware in compliance with standards, including washing, drying, and packaging. Maintains stock levels in housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry rooms to meet brand standards. Handles reservations, payments, and departures as per company guidelines. Prepares and maintains the grab-and-go breakfast area following brand requirements. Conducts daily property inspections for cleanliness and manages waste collection and maintenance tasks. Adheres to all company policies, including reporting safety and security issues promptly. Other Duties Assists with cleaning various areas of the hotel as directed by the manager, including the front desk, associate break room, guest laundry, fitness room, and common areas. Maintains overall hotel cleanliness. Performs additional tasks as requested by management. The typical shift for this position is 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Familiarity with property management systems and the ability to perform audit functions as needed. Capable of following safety rules and operational guidelines. Ability to complete routine reports and communications. Mathematical proficiency for basic calculations. Demonstrates good judgment in all situations. Effectively resolves guest-related issues. Environmental Job Requirements Regularly remains stationary and navigates the hotel, while handling equipment and detecting objects and sounds. Frequently bends and positions self to access lower areas. Occasionally lifts and moves laundry and dishes weighing up to 25 pounds. Pushing or pulling carts weighing up to 50 pounds may be required. Occasionally works at heights and must maintain stability. Frequent outdoor work, subject to weather conditions depending on the location. Possible work in wet conditions and near potentially hazardous materials. The work environment may involve moderate to loud noise levels. Willingness to travel to assist at other nearby locations when needed. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED, or relevant experience and training equivalent to one to three months.
