Customers come to depend on Parallel Ag to get any job done and we are looking to add a highly-motivated Service Technician to our teamThe Technician will perform advanced diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment. The advanced Technician is categorized as such because he/she has learned an advanced skill set and has grown into a successful and competent technician. Their purpose is to continue learning the business and gain the knowledge and experience necessary to work within the framework of the Parallel Ag business model.Responsibilities Summary: Performs advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural sprayers and other equipment Participates in service training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge Maintains current knowledge of New Holland sprayers and competitive products Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties Support management in the pursuit of corporate policies, plans, goals, and long-term objectives Experience, Education, and Skills: Greater than 3 years of experience is required High School Diploma or equivalent experience required Ability to perform basic to advanced repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and precision equipment Ability to use basic computer functions Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes Ability to work individually or with a team Detail oriented Proficient oral and written communication skills QualificationsRequirements: Ability to diagnose and repair various types of equipment Ability to work as a team, as well as alone to accomplish assigned tasks Ability to speak effectively one on one Ability to effectively listen Ability to interpret customer needs Basic computer skills High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Good organizational skills Physical Demands: Extended lengths of period standing Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects Climbing in, on, under, and around various types of equipment Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions, crawling, pushing, and pulling Commitments: Treat all employees and customers fairly, courteously, with dignity and respect Maintain positive relationships with customers, other employees and owners Be early, flexible and available for scheduling Maintain up to date technical training Focus on quality & service Be neat and clean Wear uniform badge every day Demonstrate an interest in growing the capabilities and efficiency of the service department Working Conditions: The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or to farm chemicals The worker is subject to oils: There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids The worker is subject to extreme heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour Compensation and Benefits: Parallel Ag offers a generous compensation package with a superior hourly wage 401k retirement plan with company match Semi-annual bonus structure Health, Dental, Vision and Life insurance Paid Time Off Advanced training programs Day shift, with a safe work environment Parallel Ag is an Equal Opportunity Employer
