Telecommunications Installation and Repair Technician

Job Description: Join our team as a Telecommunications Installation and Repair Technician In this role, you will be responsible for installing and repairing essential telecommunication services at customer locations, including Telephone, Internet, and Video services. Your tasks will involve: Installing, replacing, and rearranging fiber jumpers and both outside and inside wiring. Making various attachments to poles and buildings. Mounting ONTs (Optical Network Terminals), power supplies, and battery backups. Installing internet hubs, routers, and set-top boxes, as well as configuring computers. Performing work that may require climbing poles or ladders, crawling under dwellings, and navigating attics or underground activities. Installing Coax and CAT5 wiring. Tech Skill Requirements: Experience in telephone service. Knowledge of CATV installations. Familiarity with Coax cable sizes and types. Experience using test sets. Understanding of routers and home networking. Technical knowledge of loss, attenuation, and tiling. Experience working within attics and crawl spaces. Strong computer skills.
