DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYAct as oversight and security agent for management and customers. Observe casino and hotel operation for irregular activities such as cheating or theft by either employees or patrons with the use of audio/video equipment to observe operation of the business.Hiring for Full Time 12:00 am - 8:00 am shifts will include weekends and Holidays.Team members receive shift differentials-an additional $1.00/hour for evening shifts (4:00 p.m. - midnight) and $2.00/hour for overnight shifts (midnight - 8:00 a.m.)ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Monitors the casino and associated areas via closed circuit television (CCTV) and direct observation (when assigned) to ensure compliance with all laws, gaming regulations and company policies and procedures.• Conduct routine random surveillance, general observations, "special observation(s)", and audit surveillance as requested (by authorized personnel) or required.• Report all violations and suspicious behaviors to supervisors, verbally or in writing.• Maintain familiarity of all casino games, dealing procedures, counting procedures, and different methodology for cheating.• Act as oversight or security agents for management or customers.• Assist in the training of new surveillance operators.• Handle 911 dispatching and radio dispatching between departments.• Follow Casino and department policies and procedures, including all safety and service procedures; adhere to the Prairie's Edge Chain of Command.• Support the Vision and Mission Statement's of Prairie's Edge Casino Resort.• All other duties as assigned.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS• Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.• Active Listening - Ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of others.• Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.• Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.• Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.• Deductive Reasoning - Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.• Judgment - The ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information.• Patience - Ability to act calmly under stress and strain, and of not being hasty or impetuous.• Research Skills - Ability to design and conduct a systematic, objective, and critical investigation.• Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for one's conduct.• Resource Management (People & Equipment) - Ability to obtain and appropriate the proper usage of equipment, facilities, materials, as well as personnel.• Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.RequirementsSKILLS & ABILITIESEducation: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): RequiredComputer Skills: Basic computer knowledge required.Certifications &Licenses: Must pass State and Federal Background Check a pre-employment drug screening (which does test for THC). Key Cash Handling Gaming License.Other Requirements: Must be able to read and write adequately.
