Our mission is to pair passionate professionals with schools and programs that benefit from supportive and effective educators who can create instant results. Role Overview: We are looking for Comprehensive Subject Tutors to assist students in several local shelters in Dayton, Ohio. This role emphasizes developing essential skills in math, science, history, and literacy within a safe and supportive atmosphere. You will work with small groups of up to 10 students, spanning kindergarten to 12th grade, offering personalized and engaging instruction that promotes self-assurance and a love for learning. Job Details: Location: Youth Shelters in Dayton, OH Schedule: Tuesdays through Friday, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Start Date: January 6, 2026 End Date: May 21, 2026 Pay Range: $300 to $330 per day Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored instruction in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts to both small groups and individual students. Evaluate student needs and adjust lessons to accommodate diverse learning levels. Create a safe, encouraging, and responsive learning environment. Collaborate with program staff to monitor student progress and modify instruction as necessary. Act as a motivational mentor and role model, aiding students in developing both academic and personal skills. Keep accurate records of attendance and lesson execution. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (required). Minimum of one year of experience teaching or tutoring in an educational environment.
