Position Overview: Specialty: Internal Medicine - CardiologyLocation: Near Gig Harbor, WAStart Date: ASAPContract Length: Ongoing, with an expected duration until May 1, 2025Position Type: Locum TenensShift Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call Key Responsibilities: Patient Care:Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to inpatients.Manage a patient load of 15-18 patients per shift, focusing on diagnostic and therapeutic cardiology.Collaborate with advanced practice clinicians and specialized cardiology teams, including EP and interventional cardiology, to deliver high-quality care.Coverage:Work Monday through Thursday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with some night call duties.Cover 2-3 weekends over the assignment period (Friday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM).Engage in both direct patient care and consultative services as needed. Practice Details: Support Staff:Supported by an experienced team including advanced practice clinicians, EP, and interventional cardiology.EMR System: Experience with Epic is preferred, but training will be provided if necessary.Board Certification: Must be board certified in Internal Medicine with a specialty in Cardiology.Licensure: Must hold or be willing to obtain a Washington medical license or qualify through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).Certification Requirements:Board Certification in Internal Medicine - Cardiology is required.BLS, ACLS, and other certifications are not required for this position.Practice Setting:The role is exclusively inpatient with no outpatient duties required.No admissions are required, but hospital privileges must be obtained.
