The Culinary Operations Manager plays a vital role in leading our kitchen team and ensuring top-notch guest experiences. You will leverage your expertise in restaurant operations, manage staffing resources, mentor team members, and help drive our sales and profitability while upholding our operational standards. Job Summary: The Culinary Operations Manager oversees all aspects of our kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, staffing, and health and safety compliance. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership qualities, culinary expertise, and a dedication to high food quality and exceptional customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Staff Management: Hire, train, and lead kitchen staff, including cooks and dishwashers. Develop schedules and delegate tasks for efficient kitchen operations. Provide feedback and conduct performance evaluations. Food Preparation & Quality Control: Supervise food preparation to ensure it meets our quality standards for consistency and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Inventory and Supply Management: Track inventory levels, place supply orders, and manage food costs to meet budget goals. Ensure proper food storage and keep track of expiration dates. Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce food safety and sanitation guidelines while ensuring a safe workspace for all staff. Regularly clean and maintain all kitchen equipment. Budget Management: Create and manage the kitchen budget, focusing on food costs and minimizing waste. Monitor expenses and develop strategies to reduce costs without sacrificing quality. Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with front-of-house staff to address customer feedback promptly and efficiently. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar culinary management role. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations. Effective leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment under pressure. Strong problem-solving capabilities and a keen attention to detail. Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Minimum of 2 years of experience in food and beverage service. Serve Safe certification is required. Experience with EcoSure preferred. Ability to pass a background and credit check. Knowledge of scheduling, inventory, interviewing, coaching, and team development. Experience managing staff of at least 30 employees. Managed a weekly volume of $35,000 or more.
