The best candidates will possess strong writing and proofreading skills, have a solid understanding of media relations and current events, and have previous relevant internship experience. We seek creative, strategic thinkers that can develop varied content including press releases, blog posts, social media posts, email communications and more - all of which contribute to growing clients' presence. The position also requires an individual with a passion for emerging media and an understanding of social media as it applies to business.Responsibilities:Support the PR & Social Media teams including:Updating and maintaining media listsDeveloping and posting news releasesCreating content for client social channelsMonitoring and moderating client social channels, including online reputation managementTracking analytics and providing support for results reportingCompiling industry research and insightsQualifications:Understanding of business use of popular social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc., and the ability to effectively interpret and summarize dataUnderstanding of business use of popular social media channels such as Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, etc., and the ability to effectively interpret and summarize dataStrong research skills and ability to summarize large amounts of data into digestible takeawaysStrong writing skillsKnowledge and use of AP Style writingUnderstanding of what makes news and current eventsExperience creating news releases, pitches, and other media materialsAbility to meet deadlines promptly and effectivelyKnowledge of SEO, SEM is an assetGreat attention to detail, enthusiasm, organization, multi-tasking, and desire to be a team playerStrong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work individuallyAbility to prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing client needsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointPay$15/hourHours40 hours per weekTruePoint Communications is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
