Locum Tenens Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Physician Location: Near Ellensburg, WADates: ASAP - OngoingWe are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Ellensburg, WA. This position is designed to provide coverage for elective and outpatient endoscopy procedures in an inpatient setting. Position Overview: Position Type: Locum TenensSpecialty: Internal Medicine - GastroenterologyStart Date: ASAPEnd Date: OngoingCoverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours OnlyShift Type: Monday through FridayEMR System: Epic Key Responsibilities: Coverage Dates: Immediate startPractice Setting: InpatientPatients Per Shift: 13-16Procedures: Elective and outpatient endoscopiesShift Hours: 8-hour shift starting at 7:30 AMCases: Up to 15 cases scheduled per dayAnesthesia Support: None; all cases are IV conscious sedationTeam: One room with two RNs (one for sedation, one for circulating)Additional Duties: Communicating biopsy results to patients, coordinating referrals, follow-ups, and additional imaging Qualifications: Board Certification: RequiredFellowship: RequiredLicensure: Licensed in Washington or IMLCCertifications: ACLS required, BLS not requiredCredentialing Timeframe: Approximately 45-60 daysConscious Sedation Privileges: RequiredEPIC Training: Required or successful test-out Additional Details: Temporary Privileges: AvailableHospital Stroke Certification: YesNo Call Coverage: This role does not involve call responsibilitiesPractice Setting: Focused on elective procedures in an inpatient OR settingThis position offers a structured work environment with a clear focus on providing high-quality gastroenterology care.
