Stationary Engineer

What we ask of you:Building Operations: Ensure a thorough understanding of the assigned property, including building operations, preventative maintenance schedules, energy management systems, and equipment status. Maintain the property's professional appearance in all areas.Building Maintenance: Maintain the operation of building equipment within design capabilities to achieve proper environmental conditions, optimize performance, and minimize operating costs. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all electrical and plumbing systems, basic HVAC equipment issues, and perform basic carpentry and mechanical repairs.Work Order Management: Manage work and provide status updates through the computerized work order system. Collaborate with the Property Manager and/or Supervisor to resolve problems delaying the completion of work orders.Time Management, Communication & Professionalism: Efficiently manage time and always maintain a professional demeanor. Exhibit good written communication through emails and work order system notes, and strong verbal communication skills.Desired experience:High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Experience in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC, required.5+ years of commercial building maintenance experience, required.City of Buffalo Stationary Engineer License, preferred. Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.Proficiency in operating a mobile device to access work orders and time clock.
