Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., Florida's largest full-service civil litigation firm, continues to grow and is currently seeking experienced Litigation Paralegals for its Tampa office.Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant paralegal experience, with a strong background in insurance defense litigation. Ideal applicants will be knowledgeable in all phases of litigation, including document management, legal research, discovery, and trial preparation. Trial experience is a plus.Prior billing experience is preferred; all candidates must bill their time contemporaneously in accordance with firm and client billing guidelines.Responsibilities: Assisting attorneys in case management from inception through trial Organizing, analyzing, and reviewing court documents and case materials Coordinating discovery and preparing related responses and documentation Conducting legal research as needed Preparing subpoenas, exhibits, trial binders, and other pre-trial materials Accurately and timely entering billable time on a daily basis Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience Insurance defense background preferred Prior billing experience with contemporaneous time entry required Must be a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) or Certified Paralegal (CP) Strong understanding of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and e-filing procedures Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance 20 days (PTO) annually 401(k) retirement plan Life insurance Short- and long-term disability Long-term care insurance additional ancillary benefits Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.#PLCNO AGENCIES OR PHONE INQUIRIES PLEASEEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
