We offer you the opportunity to grow in an environment where you will feel valued, have room for advancement, and be rewarded for your good work.We are currently looking for a Project Specialist (Engineer) to join our team in Carmel, INWhat are the responsibilities of the Project Specialist (Engineer)?Will participate in the development and construction of multi-family unit projects, and handle the contracting, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation of each assigned projectWill plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with the construction of a project from inception to turnoverResearch and identify qualified trades and suppliers to bid on construction projectsReview plans for constructability and provide insight on value engineeringWrite and negotiate contracts with suppliers and tradesPerform detailed analyses of bids and create spreadsheets for the Director of Construction to reviewWrite detailed lists for quantities of material usage if neededWork cohesively with the General Superintendent to develop, monitor and publish construction schedulesWork directly with Superintendents to help resolve any construction issues on-siteSetup weekly jobsite meetings with Superintendents and their contractors to help facilitate workflow and to hold trades accountable for quality work and performance pursuant to the contractsUnderstand compliance with building and safety codes and regulationsWhat are the role requirements?Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering is preferredExtensive experience in multi-family, hospitality, or commercial construction is requiredPrevious experience in a Superintendent role is preferredAbility to write construction schedules using Excel or MS Project is requiredLand development experience is a plusExperience using Yardi Voyager or related property management software is a plusThe ability to work cooperatively with othersMust present the ability to execute job duties under stressful circumstances, such as last-minute deadlines or other difficult situationsMust be willing to fly to various locations via private or public air transportationWhat's in it for you?Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) with company matchOn the job training and developmentGenerous paid time off programsCompetitive compensation plan with bonus opportunitiesGreat work environmentOpportunities for advancementDiscounted apartment homeGrow a Career with Edward Rose & SonsEdward Rose & Sons is committed to career development for our team.
