Join Our Team as a Produce ClerkAt our store, we believe in creating an exceptional customer experience with remarkable service. As a Produce Clerk, you will help foster a friendly and clean environment to entice our customers to return. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals while upholding our quality assurance standards.
Your Role
Be a customer service champion by acknowledging, assisting, and appreciating every customer. Promote our Corporate Brands to boost sales. Support a respectful and trustworthy environment among team members. Ensure customers feel welcomed and valued by answering product-related inquiries.
Stay knowledgeable about our produce offerings to guide and suggest items to customers. Prepare delightful produce platters and inform customers about special offers. Maintain proper product preparation, packaging, labeling, and inventory. Conduct regular quality checks on produce for freshness and quality.
Report any product discrepancies or issues to the department manager. Keep positive energy and stay updated on current promotions and seasonal offers. Monitor temperature controls in display cases and coolers and maintain logs accordingly. Commit to safety by following procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
Engage in preventive maintenance for equipment and inform management about repair needs. Act swiftly to report accidents or safety risks involving customers or employees. Work cooperatively in a dynamic and sometimes fast-paced environment. Handle conflicts in a calm and non-confrontational manner.
Demonstrate honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information. Assist our diverse customer base, including minors and individuals with special needs.
Qualifications
Ability to manage stressful situations effectively. Strong communication skills. Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, and subtraction). Food handlers permit obtained upon hiring.
