The department collaborates with internal clients and suppliers managing more than $12 billion of annual company spend to develop mutually beneficial total value solutions for goods and services. The department provides the following services to internal clients: procurement of goods and services, strategic sourcing and cost savings, category management, supplier relationship management, execution and outreach, compliance management, ongoing procurement field support and management of the source to pay cycle.Position SummaryThe Senior Manager, Distribution Strategic Sourcing role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with the goals of the Distribution portfolio and broader enterprise objectives. This position leads strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier governance to drive performance, cost savings, sustainability, and supplier diversity. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and peers to ensure sourcing activities meet operational needs while identifying opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and increased value. This is a highly collaborative role that plays a key part in strengthening sourcing outcomes and enhancing the client experience within the portfolio.Reporting RelationshipThe Senior Manager, Distribution Strategic Sourcing will report to the Senior Director, Construction Services Strategic Sourcing.Job Responsibilities Build and support high performance team responsible to Develop strategic portfolio and category plans to generate cost savings, deliver service excellence, optimizes diversity spending and total cost of ownership for multiple Portfolios across multiple lines of business.Ensures the overall governance of the contract approval process from contract creation through contract award.Oversees contract spend across multiple spend categories in multiple LOBsDevelops short and long term strategies for all spend categories within portfolio for multiple LOBsLeads complex cross-functional teams in the execution of strategic sourcing initiativesManages spend analysis, needs assessment, benchmarking and business case developmentLeads development and execution of negotiation strategiesApproves purchase orders and contracts from $500,000 to $10 millionMonitors and maximize customer satisfaction using standardized client service level agreementsManages continuous improvement-based relationships that deliver mutually beneficial results for PG&E and its suppliersEstablishes service level agreements to hold suppliers accountable for performanceDirect reports include multiple Portfolio Managers, Procurement Managers and Category Leads. Through these direct reports, incumbents are responsible for all sourcing activity for the assigned areas of the business.Develop work processes and procedures aligning to organizational requirementsBackground QualificationsMinimumBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required (one year of experience for every one year of college)8 years of total sourcing or related industry experienceMBA or equivalent advanced degreeSix Sigma, CPSM or other related certificationSAP/SRM proficiency desiredStrategic Sourcing experience, Project Management experience, Utility industry experienceMinimum 8years years of supervisor experienceStrong interpersonal and relationship management skills requiredAbility to lead cross-functional teams is requiredDemonstrated leadership and management skills are requiredAbility to identify and resolve problems and implementation barriers required
