Nurse Practitioner - Staten Island, NY Job Type: Full-timeJob DescriptionThe Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for a continuum of quality patient care, and rehabilitation to their patients. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary, which is dependent upon experience. The successful Nurse Practitioner will have experience working with geriatric populations and some experience in Skilled Nursing Homes.ResponsibilitiesConduct routine check-ups to patients to assess their health condition and discover possible issuesGive appropriate advice for healthy habits (diet, hygiene etc.) and preventative actions to promote overall healthConduct examinations to ill patients and evaluate symptoms to determine their conditionAsk intuitive questions to discover causes of illnessReach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient's medical historyPrescribe and interpret lab tests to obtain more information for underlying infections or abnormalities Qualifications:Current New York License as a Nurse PractitionerNational Board CertifiedAmerican Association of Nurse PractitionersAmerican Nurses Credentialing CenterEMR/EHR experienceMust have skilled nursing home experience Benefits:Flexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offMedical specialties:Geriatrics Standard shift: Day shiftSupplemental pay types: Quarterly bonus, Yearly bonusSupplemental schedule: On callWeekly schedule:5x8Monday to Friday Work setting:In-personLong term careNursing home License/Certification:Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required)
