The position is responsible for coaching and providing direction to student-athletes and all assistant coaches within the program. Starts November 17, 2025.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-Maintains a working knowledge of all district and MHSAA rules governing extracurricular athletics-Previous high school wrestling coaching preferred-Excellent oral and written communication preferred-Ensures proper cleaning, maintenance, and storage of all program materials including uniforms and mats-Supervises team in the locker rooms at all home games, away games, and practices to ensure appropriate behavior-Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student-athletes at all times-Works with Athletic Director for all practice and game scheduling- Ensures medical and safety guidelines are adhered to-Is punctual for all games and practices-Conducts him/herself in a professional and courteous manner with all players, parents, staff, officials-Consults with Athletic Director for all offseason training programs-Communicates in a timely manner with Athletic Director, parents, and players-Emphasizes sportsmanship and promotes academics as a major part of the programPlease submit resume, along with references, to Tobias Tuomi, Athletic Director: tuomit@gardencityschools.com
