Position Type:Educational Aide/Parapro/Support StaffDate Posted:7/24/2023Location:Mason City SchoolsDistrict:Mason City School District Mason City SchoolsPosition: Substitute Special Education Aide & Specialized Classroom AidePerformance Responsibilities* Supports the student(s) in recitation, reading, and other curriculum tasks, guiding and helping, but not teaching.* Under supervision of the intervention specialist teacher, works one on one or with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.* Performs clerical duties such as running copies, putting up bulletin board, preparing materials, etc.* Implements teacher-directed interventions to support pupil performance objectives.* Assists students where necessary in accomplishing self-help skills and gradually decrease support as appropriate.* Assists in documentation of pupil performance.* Assist in toileting needs, including diapering.* Will work with student(s) who has medical needs which could include tube feedings, insulin testing, etc.* Other Duties as AssignedMinimum Job Requirements* Must have a high school diploma or GED* Must be able to pass a BCI&I and FBI criminal background check* Must be willing to apply for an Eductional Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of EducationInterested individuals must complete an application in the AppliTrack system.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
