Through continuous safety and loss control, we can accomplish this.About the Work Environment...This position is located at the Amsterdam, New York LEED certified production facility. Most job functions are performed in a well-lit, environmentally controlled office environment. The candidate will also be required to work in an environment that requires hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection and lab coat. Restrictions include wearing of jewelry, nail polish and acrylic nails. Other personal protection equipment may be required for certain tasks.What You'll Do...Analyze, troubleshoot and repair systems to maintain process efficiencyUnderstand and analyze technical specifications of electro-mechanical systemsPerform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance to detect and prevent problemsDevelop troubleshooting skills to systematically identify and prevent problems and failuresCoordinate efforts with other technicians involved in installing/maintaining equipment or components, to ensure that systems function properlyCommunicate with machine operators, understand and have a working knowledge of equipment to detect equipment problems, analyze malfunctions and verify system problemsObserve and incorporate safety standards and regulations required for safe operation of the system.Support general housekeeping and sanitation within the work area and must be able to lift up to 50lbs.Who You Are...You have excellent verbal and written communication, listening and interpersonal skills.You have exceptional problem-solving skills.You have the ability to manage a dynamic environment with a high degree of complexity.You have a strong attention to detail and are results oriented.You have a proactive approach to issue/opportunity identification and resolution.What You'll Need...3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environmentDemonstrated experience in one of the following: industrial electrical, mechanical, repair, welding, millwright, plumbing/pipefitting machining or sheet metal fabricationBasic technical knowledge of electrical/electronic and 3 phase motors and understanding of fluid power systemsWelding certification with a concentration in sanitary welding highly desirableWhat's in it for you?
