Maintenance Technician Full-time

Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionThe Holiday Inn Express Hilton Head is looking for a full-time, Maintenance Technician to perform property maintenance and repairs.The JobA typical day for a Maintenance Technician starts out gathering any work orders that might have come in before their shift. When something breaks our technicians will assess the situation and decide what the best method of repairing it is.Job Duties Include:Maintain the physical functionality and safety of the facility.Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, tiling, electrical work, wall surface repairs, painting, HVAC work and masonry.Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs.Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.Maintain the physical condition of the hotel according to established operating and safety standards, ensuring that service requests and repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner.Check on all guest room electrical appliances and circuits, including refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, making repairs where necessary.Provide guest room service/repair status to Front Desk, General Manager, and Executive Housekeeper.Respond in a timely, courteous manner to guest questions, complaints, or requests.Properly maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment.Complete preventive maintenance checklists and other maintenance records.What would make me successful in this role?Passion for performing repairsAbility to work independentlyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detailAbility to bend over, stoop, and crawlAbility to work a physically active jobAvailability to work a flexible schedule: weekends, and holidays BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision plans - Eligible 1st of the month after 30 daysCompany-Paid Life and AD&D Insurance and Long-term DisabilityFlexible Spending/Dependent Care AccountShort-term Disability & Accident plansEmployee Assistance Program401(k) Retirement Plan with company matchPaid Vacation - up to 10 days per yearPaid Sick time - up to 5 days per year7 paid Holidays per yearReferral Program - Earn $500 for referring someoneEmployee Recognition Program - earn gift cardsEmployee discountsOn-Demand Pay - Access to earned wages before your regular paycheckIHG Brand Hotel Discounts About UsThe Holiday Inn is managed by Aileron Management.
