Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center is proud to be the largest hospital in Wisconsin, recognized nationally for our innovative care across a variety of specialties. Schedule/Hours: Full-time evening shift with 8 or 10 hour shifts; Monday through Friday with call responsibilities (5-8 overnight call slots, 1-2 weekend call slots) in an 8-week rotation. Major Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures, utilizing aseptic techniques Assist with various surgical procedures while maintaining knowledge of different techniques Ensure the operating room is sanitized and set up for each case Act as a Second Assistant when needed Transport patients and equipment as required Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment Provide excellent care and demonstrate knowledge of age-specific needs of patients Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 6 months, unless waived by the department leader Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program No prior experience is required Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and withstand stress Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various physical tasks Exposure to potential hazards such as mechanical and chemical agents This job description covers the general responsibilities of the position.
