Pediatric Dentist opening in MarylandLocated in Salisbury, MD - Baltimore 115mFull-time, permanent positionPosition Details:The attending pediatric dentist provides dental care services to pediatric patients, as well as consultation services on matters appropriate to the practice of dentistry to other members of the health care staff. They supervise and assist the pediatric residents. This position reports to the chief pediatric dentist. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. Excellent benefits package included.Essential job functions of this position include but are not limited to: - Oversee and assist the pediatric residents ensuring they are providing appropriate care to pediatric patients. - Diagnose and treat any disease, injury, malocclusion, or malposition of a tooth, gum, jaw, or structure associated with the head and neck as appropriate. - Provide oral health education to patients and families. - Establish rapport and identify patients chief complaints, general needs and expectations. - Knowledge to provide preventive, therapeutic and educational methods for controlling oral disease as an aid to patients. - Anticipate, diagnose, and provide treatment and follow-up management for dental treatment. - Practice within the scope of ones competence and make referrals to professional colleagues as appropriate. - Select, obtain, and interpret clinical, radiographic, and other diagnostic information and procedures.Benefits:6 weeks PTO your first year, plus holidaysFTCA coverageAccess to loan repayment programsContinuing education reimbursement401KProfessional liability insuranceMajor medical, dental and vision insurance for employees and their familiesPaid time-off/holidaysShort-term and long-term disability
