Our client is a mission-driven, growth-oriented software company that's tackling a huge issue in the HealthTech space. They've got a very successful product already, and now building a new squad to deliver the same product to a new market, with the next hire on that team being a Product focused and FE Leaning Full Stack Engineer.The RoleWe're seeking a seasoned Full-Stack Engineer to join as a senior individual contributor on a high-impact initiative. While solid backend experience is required, your true strength lies in shaping and building the front-end: designing scalable, performant web applications in a modern React ecosystem. You'll own architecture decisions, choose frameworks and design patterns, and roll up your sleeves to deliver complete features from API to UI.What Success Looks LikeLead the development of complex front-end systems using React + TypeScript, with strong opinions and clear vision.Participate (and sometimes lead) backend work: APIs, databases, state management, multi-tenant SaaS concerns.Define and maintain best practices for web applications: routing, performance, caching, security (OAuth2/OIDC/JWT), offline capabilities (PWAs) and responsive design.Collaborate across teams — infrastructure, backend, UX, product — and guide less-senior engineers through mentorship, code review, and architectural discussions.Shape the product's technical future: you won't just build features, you'll help decide how we build.Requirements5+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with demonstrable leadership of complex projects.Deep expertise in React (component lifecycle, hooks, state management), modern JavaScript/TypeScript, routing.Proven backend competency (Java/Node or similar), experience with REST/GraphQL APIs and relational/NoSQL databases.Practical experience with authentication/authorization (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT), and secure web practices (CSRF, CORS, XSS).Strong understanding of system design: caching, asynchronous flows, scalability, performance trade-offs.Comfortable with build and deployment tooling (Webpack, Vite, CI/CD pipelines).Excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.PreferredMulti-tenant SaaS experience.Real-time applications (WebSockets, event streams).Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and design systems/component libraries.What's On OfferFull-time position based out of New York City (hybrid model: in-office culture, with up to 2 remote days/week).Competitive salary (~US$175K-210K, depending on level, experience and performance).Stock options.Fully paid health/dental/vision insurance + premium primary/urgent-care access.Generous time-off policy: take-as-you-need PTO, plus 7 paid holidays and a company-wide winter break.Why This CompanyIf you're looking to step into a role where your technical choices have real impact — not just on features, but on people's lives — this is it.
