Job Title: Materials Handling Technician IDepartment: Materials ManagementLocation: Clifton Springs Hospital - 2 Coulter Rd, Clifton Springs, NY 14432Hours Per Week: 40 hoursSchedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMSUMMARY:As a Materials Handling Tech I, your key role is to organize, track and deliver supplies that are vital to the success of the hospital. Ensuring that each room and floor is stocked and prepared for the next patient at all times, is an essential practice throughout the system.RESPONSIBILITIES: Supply & Distribution. Ensure all necessary forms are completed; ensure all materials are stocked to the appropriate level per exchange cart; report all inventory discrepancies to Buyer/Planner, Supervisors and/or Materials Manager; inventory and maintain medical equipment supply levels Management of Receivables. Ensure materials are kept in their proper location; review package slips and verify incoming materials Messenger Services. Fill miscellaneous orders from departments; transport materials to designated areas with documentation; ensure all incoming materials are signed for by the department REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: n/a PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Participated in Hazardous Materials Safety Training and Safety Lifting Program Strong attention to detail and excellent communications skills Familiarity and ability to use ERP technology and Microsoft applications effectively EDUCATION:LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:H - Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires constant walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.PAY RANGE:$17.25 - $18.25CITY:Clifton SpringsPOSTAL CODE:14432The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
