A Construction Supervisor plays a crucial role in leading teams to ensure the safe and efficient execution of project tasks as outlined in contractual agreements. This position requires a strong ability to interpret blueprints and follow detailed instructions. The role involves physical demands such as heavy lifting, kneeling, squatting, and climbing, and may require working in confined spaces with appropriate safety gear. Candidates should be prepared to work under varying weather conditions and travel as necessary. Key Responsibilities Uphold a safe working environment for all personnel, adhering to the HMT Safety Manual and client-specific regulations. Facilitate daily safety meetings and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) effectively. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to clarify project scopes and promptly address any challenges. Ensure compliance with HMT and client specifications, documenting necessary details. Oversee field crew performance and optimize resource use, including manpower and equipment. Manage Quality Assurance/Quality Control processes according to contract specifications. Complete all necessary site documentation such as timesheets, T&M sheets, and progress reports. Foster positive relations with clients on-site. Update construction drawings as needed and provide sketches of relevant site conditions. Prepare required data sheets and train crew members in tank maintenance and construction best practices. Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all crew members. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within the Above Ground Storage Tank sector. At least 3-5 years of experience working as a Foreman. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously (overseeing up to 15 employees). Ability to maintain accurate Field Progress Reports. Strong communication skills for instructing multiple team members effectively. Proficient in completing safety and QA/QC paperwork independently. Knowledge of automatic welding and burning equipment, including oversight of their use and maintenance. Adept at interpreting fabrication and field drawings. Effective communication via email and phone. DOT OQ qualification required. Certification in automatic welding processes (3 o'clock, Automatic vertical welder, fluxcore). Meets standards for Class B Welder qualification. Certified Rigger with understanding of appropriate rigging practices. The physical demands of this position require strong physical stamina, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing tasks in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and confined spaces.
